The Third Street Methodist Church supports the New Tribes Mission organization. This group trains and places missionaries in many places around the world, mostly in remote places. This organization is involved with translating the Bible into native languages that do not even have a written language. The missionaries must develop an alphabet of the sounds, make up a language to write and read, and then teach the tribal people how to read the Gospel in the Bible in their native language. This is an amazing challenge.

There are many more activities of the New Tribes Mission. You may find them at  usa.ntm.org/about

This organization also has a Bible Institute for the training and placing of missionaries. Please contact them at ntbi.org

Our missionaries are Stefan and Sharon Kern.
